About the Role

Moncel is currently hiring for a Instructional Designer.

This person is responsible for planning, storyboarding and developing content for our online courses.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with federal, provincial and state authorities to gather requirements for regulated training courses

Develop content for a variety of online courses (primarily within the food and hospitality sectors)

Put content into engaging e-learning storyboards using Google Slides

Define instructional design strategies while adhering to standard adult learning principles using both the ADDIE Instructional Design model

Work within a small team to review and provide detailed instructional feedback and suggestions for improvement on developed online e-learning content and their supporting materials, as required

Present completed courses for sign off and work closely with stakeholders to make required changes and respond to feedback

Analyze existing courseware and resources and make recommendations for improvement

Manage own workload to ensure the timely design and development of learning solutions and performance support material

Develop high quality deliverables and learning solutions within the agreed timelines

Provide updates of own progress and status

Experience Required

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

Demonstrated experience training (classroom or online) in the food and hospitality sector

Demonstrated skills and experience in gathering and writing content, putting content into engaging e-learning storyboards, defining instructional design strategies, liaising with graphic designers/web developers/editors and ensuring the product meets outcomes

Demonstrated experience process mapping & planning of training material

Demonstrated experience in mapping learning materials back to requirements for regulated courses

High-level interpersonal and professional communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders as well as co-workers with different levels of technical knowledge

Demonstrated capacity to work both independently and in multi-disciplinary team environments

Qualification in Education is highly regarded

Excellent written and verbal communication skills including a very high skill level in terms of spelling and grammar

Very high attention to detail and the ability to identify and correct issues and errors

Experience designing and developing using tools like Storyline Articulate 360 an asset
